I bought a set of Skull Candy earphones while on holiday last year and they've done a fantastic job. They aren't as expensive as Bose, but with a pretty good quality as well. You can find them all over the place. They don't look half bad either.
If it can drown out a 747, it'll do just fine for the classroom!

headphone.com is a great site when looking for headphones, you can find a lot of information etc. there.

Here's a page with lots of different noise canceling/sealed headphones:

You might want to do a little more research when you find a headphone that interests you though (e.g. check reviews on blogs/amazon.com/ http://www.head-fi.org/ etc.).
