How did your squat instantly shoot up from like 60lbs within a couple weeks and a screwed up hip?

Well, my squat when I last did it was 135-140 for 12-15 reps, and I calculated my 1RM and it was around 180.

I posted my 1rm's right now.

usually i post what i can do a whole set of.

Don't know - really depends on the specific 10th grader. Obviously genetics over age just a *little*.

Squats: was able to, in 10th grade myself, do somewhere in the mid 300's.
Bench Press: in 10th grade never really shot for max, did 225lb once while messing around with friends albeit after I'd stopped working out. Don't know what max would have been. Worked out with 165 (3x12) regularly.

At 33 - probably not, albeit from 27 to 29 I did a lot of work on the bowflex, bulked up pretty good and probably exceeded my strength at 10th grade somewhere in the middle of that and likely 130% of my previous peak strengh, just that I worked out on a bowflex so to do 3x12 at 270lb on that for bench means a much different thing than for free weight. Downside: Like Icarus I flew too high, didn't realize I was heading into injury territory. Tore my labrum, had to quit for several months, started working out and felt the labrum again. Quit after the second time.
