Ok so i found a lump.....Possibly a cyst.....

I nervous about going to the docs just in case they turn round and say its a spot of cyst then i will look like a complete fool!!

I pratically live at the doctors any way for other various illnesses and feel that if i go there with yet another problem they will turn their noses up at me. :(

Its huge about the size of two peas put together and its hard and painful when it rubs against my clothing. 8O

What should i do should i get it checked out of wait to see if it disappears?

Thanks

Maria :albino:

Get it checked out, of course. There shouldn't be any question about doing that.

go to the doctors, I am amazed it wasn't noticed at your last mammogram!

You probably should. Since I'm a weather geek we will use weather for an example. A rainstorm can turn into a Tornatic Supercell in a blink in a eye. So your best bet is to get a mammogram.

I would suggest that you go and see your doctor, I have no idea where the lump is. I do not recall that you said it was in a breast, but I hold the view that any lump or odd thing which can not be explained with ease anywhere in the body should be checked.

I think that you are a bit on the young side to have been given a mamogram exam as part of a normal check up. I am not a medical doctor but from what I know they may well use mamography or ultrasound to examine the site of the lump. I am hopeful that they will tell you it is a harmless lump.

One question, have you had an infection recently ? If you have one it can cause lumps to appear in the female breast.
