Does hidden chronic pain exists?
As in, the brain literally feels pain chronically somewhere, but the person isn't consciously feeling said pain but gets subtle symptoms as if the person is in pain..?
Yet, pain killers and anti-inflammatory, despite not consciously feeling any form of pain or flare up that usually prompts anyone to take said medication, ends up helping with the symptoms.
And at what point is this even possible??
I'd wonder if that might be something where different types of painkillers might have different effects?
Like, I'd expect opioids to work on psychosomatic pain, but not anti-inflamatories or acetaminophen. If the latter two work, I'd wonder if they're working via placebo.
