Dyspraxic here. People do seem to just treat it as a 'loljokes' learning difficulty.

It's not. My find motor control is so bad I can't write, tie my shoe-laces, brush my hair. My gross motor control is pretty shoddy as well, walking is perilous. People like to laugh when other people fall over, which annoys and frustrates me.

I didn't learn how to tie my shoe laces properly until I was 16ish, I just disguised the problem really well growing up. I still have bad fine motor skills. My penmanship is really messy. Also, I can't swim, ride a bike or skate.

Same here except I didn't disguise the problem well & I learned to tie my shoes around 6th grade. I adapted by avoiding things that require fine motor-skills. I wear shoes with velcro instead of laces, I fill out forums online or get my parents to it it for me when online isn't an option. My parents believe I'm lazy & that I do not want to be independent & that I would get better if I tried to do things more but that is NOT the case for me. Trying to do things with fine motor-skills frustrates me after a bit because of how complicated it is for me & being frustrated makes it aLOT harder for me to do them.

I was never diagnosed with it but I had a lot of problems with motor-skills as a kid & my motor-skills still are not great. I have Essential Tremors thou & not having good at fine motor-skills could be related to that. I may not have dyspraxia but I can really relate to it

When you say tremors, do you mean your body shakes when you don't really realize it's happening as I do this at times.

My hand/arms shake when doing things with fine motor-skills like writing or buttoning a shirt

I have that as well but I think it's because of the meds I take. I can also get really anxious sometimes which causes me to shake more.

Anxiety & stress make me shake more & psych meds(especially anti-psychotics) made it a lot worse

Yeah I get major anxiety and then I'm on anti-psychotics and benzos plus anti-depressants.

Have it and a degenrative nerve disorder. Ive found for me the more I do fine motor tasks the better my control is till I get tired then my hand start shaking realy bad. I work with my hands all day but must limit any highly repetitive task.
For me writing is the worst but I can carve figuers out of soap stone for hours becaus you're all ways changing position of the hands. Because of the nerves failing to send signals I must use hands as much as posible regardless of pain or risk loss of there use for good.

But I have no pitty for myself because my middle son has gross motor skill issues and falls a lot, amongst other obvious issuse.

I have dyspraxia-like symptoms at times, at least I think. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I have bad spatial awareness. I tend to knock things over. I almost ran into a tree once, and I'm always banging my thighs and shoulders on doorjams and whatnot.
I also get stuck under pressure. I have to do something under pressure and all my coordination goes AWOL. Speaking is usually "um, uh, (really really disorganized thought) like (another disorganized thought)". Also my motor coordination usually gets kinda slow like when I have two seconds to fold a newspaper.
Thoughts?

I have some motor problems, lie catching a ball, dropping things easily, walking as a child (I walked inward) and other.

But more as a child, physical education was also difficult for me.
Now I really don't care anymore about it and it's not really bothering me anymore.
