I was not. I have a list of of diagnoses but this is not included among them. I definitely exhibited many of the associated traits in my childhood (and presently), however.

I was, honestly, unaware I fell into the schizotypal personality categorization prior to taking the test you linked :) The test seemed pretty accurate in its other results. I have been dx'ed with severe OCD and avoidant personality disorder (rated very high in these categories in the quiz) along with sensory processing disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and PTSD.

Paranoid: High
Schizoid: Moderate
Schizotypal: Very High
Antisocial: Moderate
Borderline: High
Histrionic: Moderate
Narcissistic: Low
Avoidant: Very High
Dependent: High
Obsessive-Compulsive: Very High

Actually if you know anything about borderline personality disorder I'd love to hear it, it's the only one on the list I'm not familiar with and reading the list of symptoms on Mind was hit and miss for me. It seems like a collection of symptoms from the other disorders, with some other things that don't describe me at all...

For example I'm not worried about people abandoning me (I'm pretty antisocial); I do miss people I've lost touch with, but that's not the same as worrying about it. Also it says BPD means you don't have a strong sense of who you are. I've had psychotic episodes, and I've experienced derealisation, but I always feel like 'who I am' is the only thing I do have a handle on. I'm not convinced other people are real (or genuine) most of the time, but I'm always sure of myself, even the bits that scare me.

I am wondering if there is a link between avoidant and the various flavors of schizoid?

^^^ thanks auntblabby :) ! Yeah like a lot of the ladies on that thread I don't think BPD really suits me, I think its more a case of overlapping symptoms from other things.

I've only been diagnosed with Asperger's and Tourettes but I think that's only because there's a lot of things I never tell anyone and I'm a good actor and liar.
But if I wasn't so logical, things could be very different. I think it's the Asperger's that keeps me grounded.

the only things that kept me "grounded" were external threats from authority that forced me to keep my nose to the grindstone.

My results:

Paranoid: High

Schizoid: Low

Schizotypal: Moderate

Anti-Social: Moderate

Borderline: Very High

Histrionic: Low

Narcissistic: Low

Avoidant: Very High

Dependent: High

Obsessive-Compulsive: High

The anti-social thing is very interesting. I know it's been said by many people that autistic people/Aspies tend to lack empathy but does this mean I may actually have sociopathic tendencies?

I guess I shouldn't be so surprised that I may show symptoms of borderline personality disorder and avoidant disorder. I've always considered myself a very neurotic and paranoid person with severe self-esteem issues.

I'm not also surprised by the obsessive-compulsive thing because I was diagnosed as having OCD tendencies a couple of years ago besides having HFA.

Greetings. My results of this always change, since I'm still a teen I guess. But here is what they are now:

Paranoid - moderate
Schizoid - moderate
Schizotypal - high
Antisocial - moderate
Borderline - moderate
Histrionic - moderate
Narcissistic - moderate
Avoidant - very high
Dependent - low
Obsessive-compulsive - very high

I have social anxiety, so avoidant and schizotypal are likely to come up. I am also a perfectionist, so OCPD.

I've been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, so I at least know that part's on the nose. Can't say much for the others, though.
