Sometimes, I will see pictures of things like the grim reaper and monsters in my head, however, I know they aren't real and it's not like a see a person sitting in a chair or anything, they are actually "in my head". Is this Schizophrenia? I don't really think so, but I am a bit scared that it is.

EDIT: Oh, also, I have imaginary friends that I know are imaginary, like a little kid would have. They are based on real people. When I talk to one of the real people that they are based on, I realize that they don't know the things that I have told the imaginary versions.

I don't have schizophrenia, but I do have bipolar disorder and have experienced psychosis. It's more than just having disturbing images in your head. I think if you know it's not real and you don't experience them as being in your external world, then it doesn't really sound like schizophrenia.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that disturbing mental images could be linked to OCD. A google search seems to turn up a link. http://www.google.ca/search?sourceid=ch ... tal+images

Hi ocdgirl123!
I'm not a doctor, but I think you just have a big imagination.
But it's better if you speak with a doctor.

But what about your "visions": do they make you happy, or do they scare you?

I have no reaction to the images, they are just annoying. If anything, they scare me more than make me happy, it's mostly the fear of actually having Schizophrenia that's scary.

It makes me nervous because their is a huge correlation between ASDs and Schizophrenia.

If you aren't scared by them, if they aren't "evil", you coult try to "talk" to them, maybe writeing a story where they (and you) are the main characters :) .

But does they try to... attack you? Kill you?

No, it's just an image. It's like a video in my head.

Well, but you say you aren't scared, so no problem :) .
I still think, even if this could be just a good imagination, you could try to talk to your parents. Hopeing they are open minded. If they aren't they just could tell you "hey, stop dreaming, grow up!". If you know them very well and you think they could listenint to you without saiying you are just too childish and with a too big imagination, talk to them. If you aren't sure about their reaction, simply ask your doctor :) .

No, they don't attack me in the video, I'm not in the video at all. It's like watching a movie, but not one of myself.

I am a fence sitter in terms of religion, so I don't think do would be a good choice.

spirituality and religion are two different things
im not asking you to be religious im just asking you to protect yourself from negative elements via
prayers, positive vibrations like prayers, incense....
