Bad dreams about freaking prozac after quitting it like 5 months ago? Screw pharmacutial psych meds...what the hell where they trying to do with my mind? I can't say I did not have bad experiances related to other drugs but a prescription med is not supposed to permanantly screw with your mind even after you stopped use of it...is it?

I've taken it a few times in my life. Never noticed any significant positive changes after a few weeks to a month, & stopped taking it. Had some really odd dreams while on it, but am completely back to normal now some 5 months later. If you haven't been in touch with your doc yet, you could give it a week or so....if things continue the way they are, I would definitely talk to the doc who prescribed it.

Are you quitting it under the guidance of a physician? It totally can mess with you if it's not done carefully and slowly.

I have been on meds for way too long, but they work wonders for me.

Getting off Paxil was like getting off heroin. NOT FUN

Nope I was on them for 4 weeks and they made me very paranoid, more anxious, more depressed and caused me to lose all the control I developed over my emotions. So I threw them away because I did not want anymore of it in my body.

How are you feeling now?

Be careful because stopping that quickly can give you lots of symptoms you never had before. As well as magnify existing issues you may have. It is not very safe to just stop like that. However, many can tolerate it as it appears you are doing.

Have you tried any holistic or herbal remedies? I hear some have good results with that stuff. Even while going through withdrawals as you are doing now. I dont know much about it though.

Well I recovered some but I am still more emotional than I would like to be.....the only herbal remedy I have really tried is cananbis)it is technically an herb. And that helps but I feel like I would have been better off if I had never even attempted the Prozac.

I have never felt anything from meds, good or bad. The doctors make a big deal out of tapering and all that, but it just doesn't seem to matter with me. Nothing ever works. I've been on everything under the sun and it doesn't work, I'm still miserable.
