Because of a seizure history, my psychiatrist would like to keep my Clozaril dose as low as possible.

I've had side effects on other antipsychotics: Seroquel, Risperdal, Saphris, Invega, Geodon, Abilify

I'm allergic to the medication Thorazine.

I'm wondering if it's possible to be able to take Clozaril and Zyprexa together to help control my symptoms of Schizoaffective Disorder - Bipolar Subtype?

(I'm currently on Clozaril, Lithium and Xanax)

Thanks,
Andy

What symptoms exactly are you trying to control with that combination?

I don't know how zyprexa will play with clozapine, but people can be on two AAPs at once. Usually with that combo, one of the AAPs would be given at a low dose.

Clozapine (Clozaril) and olanzapine (Zyprexa) mixed together can cause excessive sedation, and the antimuscarinic effects may be worse. Also the increased appetite and hypotension/tachycardia could be increased. I am not saying this will 100% happen but this is the theoretical result.
