I want to know more about cognitive theraphy.

I think my cognitive thinking is damaged I once attended a session with a psychotherapist my hubby was sitting across he was able to give most of the answers whereas i was not able to give answer.

If i want to know whether my cognitive abilities are working fine should i attend a another session
what will cognitive theraphy help me to determine
whether my thinking abilities are proper, does it help to detect asperger

any help on this?

I am soon starting cognitive therapy and anxiety management but I am not sure that it works.
