I experienced a shock on January 2nd and 3rd, finding out that a friend of mine is dead.

Since then I was too early or too late to my lectures or to other appionments and had a very bad abbility to tell how long something will take. Since then I had no real sence of time anymore. 8O

I feel a bit better since two days, but still very distracted.

Now I'm wondering, how long it will take, until I have my sence of time back!? :?

I guess I experienced a shock because of that and it's because of that.

I toled my shrink and he just nodded. 8O

I hope it will go away again soon...! :?

Hi, Raziel.

It's obvious you're distressed over recent events. I guess that's to be expected. I hope you start feeling better. I wish I had something helpful to offer besides my best wishes for you, but all I know is that everything is temporary, good and bad. Better stuff may come soon.

Well yes, and I still am distressed.
I toled my shrink that I think I have a shock and he noded again. 8O

Me sence of time is mostly back, but I still have sleep issues. At least it's "just" a shock.
I also think it'll still take a while, but I'll get over it.

I'm still slightly under shock...! :?

I have the same problem; I'm curious to know more about it.

If you experienced something and don't come over it, you have an acute stress reaction (click). If your symptoms last longer than 4 weeks, you have a PTSD. But in autistic ppl it lasts often longer than 4 weeks. So I also still wouldn't neceserry talk in the 5th week or something from PTSD, but if it lasts for a long time. Just a personal opinion.

I was lucky and got help to get over it right away. In my opinion that's very important to talk with somebody about it or to let it out some other way like writing, painting etc.

I never had a sense of time in the first place.

I think there is a differenc between "never had something" and "loosing an ability".
If you never had something, you are used to it and found coping mechanisms, even if it's not that nice. That's with me and my dyslexia for example the case. I had to learn and learn.
But loosing my sence of time is something different, because I lost it from one minute to the other and didn't have the possibility to find coping mechanisms so fast. I'm also autistic and my sence of time is like part of my routines.
