Limited visual memory in deep thought?
Notice if i think or focus really hard on memory's, then come out of my thought its like i was blind the whole time & can't recall what i had seen even if my eyes where focused on something, But most i know say i have the best memory they seen. can tell what a movie is or episode by seeing even 2 seconds of it. then recall the whole thing, scene by scene. not nearly photographic memory but am never forgetful. Is it just cause i have visual memory & it just shuts off if i overload it? though i don't see anything wrong with it just wondered what its called when this happens. & if its common thing others have experienced
One thing to keep in mind is that autobiographical memory is different from other kinds of memory. I do remember visual things in autobiographical memories, but I remember most stories in black-and-white cartoons. Movies are cartoons peppered with full-color still pictures. Whereas my autobiographical memories look more like playing a 3rd person video game - I can see everything around, but can also see myself from behind.
l have that with Tv shows but have poor visual skills otherwise.
Very poor, l hardly visualize anything in my memory, it's either a blur or mostly verbal on top of...something hazy lol.
l do notice details in shows, will recognize something a character SAID immediately and know l've seen it but sometimes movements or expressions too l can recognize very quickly.
