So, here's another problem that has vexed me w/my Aspie's. I have ADHD; it's hard for me to focus enough as it is on so many things, whether it's gaming, studies, that stuff.

Anybody else has this same vexing problem? We can work something together in overcoming it, somehow.

I have both & also dyslexia. It's hard for me to pay close attention to anything for a while & tend to zone out if I'm not distracted. I always tended to dislike & avoid things that require a lot of focus. One thing I found helps me a tad is dividing my attention for example listening to music while playing a video-game or watching TV while posting. on a forum. can help keep me from being distracted by other things & I can do a couple things I want or need to do at the same time. Paying attention got harder when I was on a few psych meds for a psychotic depression. I tried Strattera & another med but they made it even harder for me to pay attention & I had other side-effects. I've been off psych meds a few years now & things aren't the same as they were before them. I was more hyper before the meds & instead of being hyper now, I daydream & zone-out more; I did it before the meds but it's worse now.

I could help
by suggesting
relaxation and meditation
therapies,
but I usually get shot down by people saying
"I have ADHD and am too manic for this to work!"

However,
I am bipolar
and whilst I do not think this is the thread to compare ADHD symptoms versus Bipolar symptoms
there is a lot of similarity between them

this is worthy of more consideration
