Bipolar or PMDD? (Girly topic-I didn't know where to put it)
I have been diagnosed bipolar but even my psychiatrist is rethinking it. I just had a depression episode.... a SEVERE one. But it only lasted a week and half and I just got my period and feel better now. ?_? Now the mania part is weird. I was diagnosed with it because I would go without sleep and then break out into random extreme laughing fits or not random but not appropriate to the level of the joke-which I actually I didn't even find funny. My mom thought I was doing drugs because of it. But then I'd sleep... wake up.... all better. So it's just exhaustion then? See that's what complicates it. My psychiatrist has monitored my mood and I always have an episode just before my period and it tends to mess me up for the rest of the month (Make me feel... weird... like not myself) EXCEPT for one week where I would be my usual self. My psyche once gave me birth control pills to level out my hormones to see if that helped. But it wasn't quite strong enough. It helped but wasn't good enough. What do you guys think about this?
P.S. I didn't want to put this in the womens section because it's bipolar related so I just didn't know.

I belief that Bipolar is strongly related to hormonal imbalances.
I also know this in my case, I get testosterone injections and every time my testosterone is going down, my mood drops.

"PMS and PMDD were most often comorbid among BD-II patients and vice versa. Moreover, patients with PMS or PMDD also have an increased risk of having BD-I. In addition, bipolar women susceptible to hormonal changes exhibit more severe symptoms, more frequent relapses and a worse therapeutic response."
