I was just recently diagnosed with this as well as avoidant personality disorder

the dysthymia seems very accurate, though I am not so sure about the AVP

Anyways...just now researching dysthemia and was wondering if anyone else has this condition

I have dysthemia with recurrent major depression...so im at a low level normally and then it drops further low

what has worked well for those of you with dythemia?

My depressive episodes were always very severe and treated easily with medication. From the little research I've done on the web, my experiences are not dysthimia. But I'm intrigued by how it works. I can't imagine depression not carrying me to a severe, emotional state that is completely crippling. Does dysthymia fall a little short of that?

My experience with dysthymia is spending most of my life wishing I was dead but I can still enjoy some things and function. I also have avoidant personality disorder traits and Asperger's traits.
