hi i actually found this forum back in 2005 and i thought it was a nice idea to create a place for people with disorders without actually mocking them , as for myself well i don't know what 's actually wrong with me but i'm pretty messed up , i feel like being watched and followed 24/7 and that's pretty much it , i think i'm paranoid but more like beyond paranoid , is there anyone else here like me?

It depends what your other symptoms are. Many disorders go along with paranoia. You could have paranoid PD or paranoid schizophrenia. Borderline PD and schizotypal PD also go along with a certain level of paranoia.

Beyond paranoia is delusion, but then you aren't really aware anymore that you've paranoia, but think that the problems are the others. But you are aware of your paranoia, so you don't seem to have that. Best is to talk to a psychiatrist about your problems. He or she can help you to find out what you have. Also antipsychotics could help.

Certainly sounds like an issue, I mean I have felt like that sometimes...but only when that actually has been the case, or it seems largely related to the PTSD hypervigalence I have where I am over observant of any possible threat so my mind might come up with reasons as to why I feel like that. So it would probably be best to talk to a mental health professional if its really bothering you as they can actually diagnose no one here can we can only speculate.

But yeah I think everyone gets paranoid sometimes, but being that paranoid 24/7 seems pretty excessive and is probably quite unpleasant.

I have had large amounts of paranoia also. Still do to this day.

You can't magically make it go away, although you can rationalize your way through the phase of it I suppose.

The paranoia I felt and still do to some extent is the 'CONSPIRACY' type mindset, you feel like an immense presence of total doom is after you.

I've walked down a street and believed an old lady could read my mind from the day before, thinking her look of approval means she agreed with my new reasoning in my head.

It sent shivers down my spine. With reason (quite a lot of it), I knew the idea was absurd so I dismissed it.

A stranger in the street could NOT know anything about you or anyone else at all.

I still struggle with paranoia, it causes unwarranted behavior to stick around longer than it needs to.

I am largely paranoid as well. That people are following me, watching me, laughing at me, reading my mind, etc. But I am officially diagnosed with Schizoaffective disorder, a combination of Schizophrenia and a mood disorder. I would have a chat with my doctor or a psychiatrist if possible, if I were you. They can help figure out what's causing your paranoia, and treat it, if necessary.

Being paranoid is really scary. Sorry. I would talk to your doc about anti-anxiety meds
