Hi there currently waiting to be seen by a cpn but in bipolar can u be diagnosed if u just have the depressive side of things? Trying to work out a little in my own head what I could maybe have but won't find out until the cpn gets in contact . Thanks :)

There's two forms of bipolar, bipolar 1 & bipolar 2. Bipolar 1 is like the stereotyped bipolar. With bipolar 2 the highs aren't as high & don't reach full blown mania.

Thank u for the info Nick was very helpful I mean I'm irritable . Can't sleep yet don't feel tired and don't really relax all day lol just like to keep going with stuff lol and like really depressed so was just having a check on here as I find some sites aren't the best lol

I am bipolar / Aspergers. Diagnosed first as bipolar - there was no Asperger diagnosis back then. I was "mildly high" for years, then true BP severe symptoms (rapid cycling) came in my late 20s. It took 10 YEARS to get diagnosed. Treatment worked well, but a whole lot of problems remained with social interaction, sensory overload and reclusiveness, trouble holding a job. Finally was diagnosed Asperger. Experience leads me to believe that Asperger is primary diagnosis with "bipolar" as a symptom of Asperger.

Yeah I have heard it is similar symptoms as aspegers. I have had passengers since I was three year old but noticed symptoms that I've had similar symptoms like depression sleep and agitation since I was 16 I've have prob had them for about ten years now. Currently still in Que for a cpn. But anxiety and agitation that bad that I ain't leaving house at all and feel on edge to
