I'm diagnosed with Anxiety NOS and I've been on Klonopin a long time... but I think it stopped working. Now I am having a problem where I can't go outside without my husband or aunt. I can go on the bus to a store, etc... but now I want to play Pokemon GO so bad and explore town and I can't... my husband can't walk good and hot weather makes him sick so he can't go with me. I spend the majority of my time in the bedroom. I'm trying to get a job, but I don't know how bad my anxiety would be. My doc who was dumb enough to insist I take klonopin all the time never wants to change my meds.

Since I moved to this town 6 years ago, I only made one female friend around my age, she was even a bridesmaid at my wedding, but I haven't talked to her in a while. She posted something about pokemon go on FB and I asked and she's getting the game when she gets a new phone soon. I trust her, now I might have someone to help me get out of the house!

That would be great if you could go out with her and her friends! I would like to do the same, but no one has seen me in about five years. I have compromised by going out in the mornings to a populated exercise field. :) Around people, not as many Pokemon, but it is a start. It is too hot for me here to walk around outside in the afternoon when everyone seems to go.

I do like having my good friend come with me so he can be the "hi" person... The one who returns all the people's hellos.

Yup taking benzos daily is a dumb move(thanks to your doctor) and a sure way to guarantee you have to continue to take them to avoid withdrawal as well as a pretty good chance that they will stop working and won't work when you need them to, ie ocassional trips into public.

Doctors are often irresponsible and have little foresight, because afterall, they aren't the ones who have to live with the consequences of their terrible advice/instructions.

Playing pokemon go with your friend sounds like a great idea. I hope that works out.
