I'm new to this site.
I was googling to see if there are more people with autism or Asperger that have something similar to echolalia but not voiced out.
From time to time I have sentences that keep repeating in my head over and over again.
(something like delayed echolalia but only in my head)
These are sentences that are part of conversations (also from years ago), (things I have said or things that others have said.) Also parts from different conversations that I keep repeating in my had one after the other in random order.
Maybe its a way to practice conversations.
These sentences distract me from keeping concentrated when I study something, sometimes, (that's why I first thought hat I have ADD)
My psychiatrist told me that it's delayed echolalia.
I wonder how how common this sort of echolalia is with people ho have Asperger?
I read that a lot off people with autism have echolalia or delayed echolalia where they actually speak the words. But I cant find anything about the echolalia like I an you have.
What do you think?
I did online the The ''Reading the Mind in the Eyes'' Test Revised Version.
I had 28 out of 36. NT have an average 26 out of 36 and people with asperger's have an average of 22 out of 36. I should mention that I have done very thorough testing and have taken all the time. I do not know how long the others have spent.
Do these results say something about whether I have Asperger's or not?
What do you think.
P.S. sorry for my English
You know, your comment interests me, as I occasionally experience a repetition of just-heard phrases as well, just not as frequently (usually when I'm especially tired). I'll need to look into this!
