I think I'm more of a straight gay guy than an extremely masculine straight guy. (though I was born female) I'm mostly what you would EXPECT a geek dude to be like, except for one thing: I kinda like Hello Kitty AND cupcakes! 8O Don't expect me to like My Little Pony though. (Ugh!! ! Hate it SO much)
I still feel like a guy though (much to my mom's horror) and don't feel all that feminine. I CAN pass as a guy, but I'd have to wear baggier shirts. Never tried binding, honestly. I have no idea how to without buying anything MYSELF, and my mom would NOT be happy. My FACE looks masculine and a lot of my friends see me as a guy, without knowing I actual feel like one! I was wondering if any of you guys are like me. Also, any advice or sites with advice SPECIFICALLY for TEEN transgender people?

what exactly do you mean by 'straight gay guy'? what i'm inferring from it is 'straight guy with qualities that are typically perceived as homosexual in nature'.

if you've got an ace bandage or something similar around the house, you can do some practice binding with that. instructional videos are pretty easy to find.

I've heard that ace bandages are extremely dangerous for lungs, ribs, and skin, among other things, so I wouldn't try it.

But you're SO LUCKY that you can pass just by wearing a baggy shirt! I always wear baggy shirts, but my stupid Hideous Lumps of Death (around here they call them "breasts") are size D. I hate it!

This: http://www.thetransitionalmale.com/ is my favorite site for FTM stuff. Check out the products that they sell. They have some great binders and packers and stuff.

Really? I find that surprising. I mean, they're made for use on human skin, at the very least!

I'm gay and femme, but I think that if I were actually *born* male, I'd be straight-acting. How odd is that?...

The reason why ace bandages are dangerous for binding is that they are made to help support injured joints - when stretched, they tighten. So you bind your chest with them, and then every time you breathe they just get tighter and tighter. They can hurt your ribs.

I'm a straight trans guy, but a lot of people assume I'm gay because I'm obsessed with musical theatre, a stereotypically gay pursuit. The number one question people ask me when they want to talk to me about trans stuff is, "Do you like boys or girls?"

I have no idea whether people who meet me and don't know me through my love of musical theatre think I'm gay or straight. I can't read people well enough to tell, and I haven't really asked anyone yet what they thought when they first met me.

theaspiemusician, this morning I've watched an interview with an Israeli gay transman who gave birth. He was really nice, I think you might've liked him, and maybe a few other people here would have liked him too. Even my mum liked him. 8)
