"Male brain theory" and homosexuality

I don't know what to think about the overly male brain theory, since, after all, I'm a counterexample to it. I'm physically male and have AS, yet I intensely want to be female. I don't feel right as a guy at all.
If the overly male brain theory is correct, how do male-to-female transsexual Aspies exist?

Count me in too, there, as somebody that goes against that theory. Besides being diagnosed with gender dysphoria, I'm also an INFP personality type and tend to relate better to women. Most of my friend on the net are lesbian or bisexual women, or somewhat femme gay/bi men. I don't really like straight men that much at all. I don't see myself as particularly "girly", but i don't see myself as exactly male, i guess "androgyny" is closer to how i view myself.
I do not accept the "extreme male brain theory" at all, its got alot of essentialist assumptions and stereotypes of maleness/femaleness behind it. Its also got some oversmplifications of Asperger's: some Aspies are also very empathetic, the issue is that for Asperger's we have a high systematizing ability as well, the two are not exclusive. And not all women are necessarily good at "empathizing" either, that doesn't make them less women for it.

I feel that male-female is a multi-dimensional thing, and where someone lies along, for example, the gentle vs. rough-and-tumble spectrum is not the same as whether one is attracted to males vs. females.
Also, there are different "types" within each sexuality. A person who is bisexual because he/she sees something intensely arousing in both male and female genitals and/or bodies is likely to have a quite different sexuality than someone who isn't particularly focused on bodies at all, and therefore is attracted much more to interpersonal factors rather than organs.
It seems that increasing sexual masculinity is associated not only with a tendency to prefer females, but also an overall greater tendency to sexualize anyone, and often a more gender-polarized way of seeing people as well. It seems that a more male-typical mind is attracted to sexual stimuli unless specifically repelled by them, whereas a female-typical mind tends to be repelled by overtly sexual stimuli unless particularly attracted. Sometimes I get the sense that, as much as I (as a straight man) prefer women, I feel more raw sexual appreciation toward some cute, boyish men, even when not horny enough to actually want sex at the moment, than a typical straight woman feels toward the average man on the street!
Of course this doesn't explain asexual male aspies, and several other types, but I often feel people are not clear what they actually mean when they talk about being "more male" or "more female".
