Has anyone ever noticed that it seems to be more accepted socially for female friends to pretend to be gay than it is male friends? I've noticed many female friends, like my own Mom and her best friend, who make jokes about being lesbian lovers to mess with their boyfriends and husbands even though they're not being serious and the spouses know this too. Female friends are even completely comfortable being naked in front of each other and sometimes grabbing each others boobs in a playful way.

I really can't say I've ever seen male friends be that way with each other. In fact it seems like most heterosexual men would hate the thought of somebody accusing him and his best friend of being lovers or if their friend revealed that he was gay.

I wonder why this is? I guess maybe it's just a gender role thing, even though real lesbian couples face prejudice attitudes from society just like gay male couples it seems to be more accepted for women to joke about it than it is men. In fact a lot of men get turned on by the idea of hot beautiful women being lesbians, but I can't really say the same for women when it comes to gay men (unless they're yaoi geeks).

I've seen examples of women thinking about pretending to take female lovers to get back at men, too. If I broke up with someone, and she said she's now a lesbian/bisexual AND seeing another woman, I wouldn't care one way or the other. I'm not really turned on by lesbian porn, either. Well, maybe a little, but it's not a compelling thing for me.

Many women exert power by imposing their sexuallity on men even in social situations. This:

Is used entice the male mates into feeling hot about their lady partners. It's a kind of tease (which I have no respect for).

Seriously? I think someone is fooling with you on this one. Whereas there may be some women who have done this, boob grabbing is hardly some sort of socially accepted norm. I've been a swimmer all my life and have been in various women's locker rooms many times per week for 50 years and have never once seen any women so much as touch eachother while naked.

Well I don't really mean touching while naked, but sometimes I've seen women joke with each other about their boobs and sometimes touch them. It's not like they really fondle each other, it's just kind of a playful thing some friends do to each other.

No more than male friends are completely comfortable being naked in front of each other and smacking each other's hind quarters with wet towels...how do you come by your information? Who are these girls who are running around naked, grabbing each other's breasts in front of you? I'm sure the (straight) men here would like to know.

I never said they run around naked grabbing each other's breasts in front of me, and I already explained that so quit trying to twist my words around. I have already mentioned that I know of a few female friends who joke about being lesbians just to mess with people including my Mom and her friend, and from what I've seen it seems like women are more comfortable with their bodies in front of each other than men are. Of course I didn't take into consideration the way men tease each other in football shower rooms, but I believe for women it's more that they're comfortable with each other than men are. It's like how pregnant women only feel comfortable around a female gynecologist but men don't feel very comfortable around a male doctor when getting a prostate check (and they don't feel comfortable with female doctors either).

I work in a male-dominated environment.

I've observed that heterosexual males love to find excuses to grab and touch each other.....far more often than women do.

Men just call it "wrestling" or "rough-housing." The women I know would NEVER tolerate being grabbed and touched to the same extent..
