Yes.

You can also be on the autism spectrum and be interested in the opposite sex, both sexes, or have no interest in either sex at all.

Fnord pretty much summed it up for you? Why did you even think that people couldn't be LGBT and be on the autistic spectrum in the first place?

I believe there is some evidence of a higher incidence of LGBTQ/ asexuality among AS people than NTs.

Inconclusive, at best.

In the same way that Autism seems to cluster among higher-paid, college-educated, white families, so too does LGBT/Q/A only seem to cluster among AS people.

I think that it's because higher-paid, college-educated, white families are more likely to recognize the symptoms of AS (than lower-paid, under-educated non-whites), just as Aspies are more likely to recognize and admit their own sexuality (than more conformity-conscious Enties).

But that's just my opinion.

Yes, I have also thought that could be the reason.

There have been a few academic studies of people with ASDs and sexuality.

The strongest conclusion from all of them is that people with ASDs show no significant differences in strength or breadth of sexual interests and expressions from control populations.

Some studies (e.g. Gilmour et al., http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/ar ... 6711001115) show higher incidences of asexuality among people with ASDs, but have observed less significant differences when it comes to homosexuality.

Atwood has posited that people with ASDs may demonstrate a more liberal attitude toward homosexuality, which can serve to facilitate self-identification and later coming out. The perception of a higher incidence may, (as Fnord has already pointed out), stem from this.

Yes. And they can also be bisexual (like me), and all of the other things that fall into the LGBT category ...

We wouldn't have an LGBT section of the forums if there wasn't any people on the autism spectrum that are homosexual or transgender and so on.
