i wondered if his parents were from elsewhere though, because of the way he says his 'R's. but i think i am listening too hard lol

Where are you from? :)

Pity no one knew the song. I'll have to pursue my quest for knowledge further!

I was very obliged to read the compliments too, ladies. Muy bien!

It's not those either. I'm trying to remember what the lyrics were that I hummed.

Something like,

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Just another trust fund casualty.
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
And he's got brylcreem on his hair.
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
And he's caught her in his snare.

What you hummed reminds me of the chorus of this, but the lyrics don't correspond.

This exercise has proven to me it's worth doing something I think is going to embarrass myself. I got the reward I wanted. What more can I ask for?

Interesting that Heaven by Bryan Adams came up too. That's another legendary song. What a glorious day. Thank you everyone for contributing and I hope you all had as much fun as I did!

The Manchester accent isn't one of my favourites to be honest though I do love Canadian and American accents. I do a great Bah-ston accent. If it makes you happy though, I'm happy for you.

My mom was from inner city Manchester and my dad from suburban Liverpool. I was born about 15 miles from Manchester in the direction of Liverpool in a provincial town called Leigh. That gives my voice a bit of a Liverpudlian twang.
