Salander, she is a victim in ways but refuses to be one. :)

Lisbeth Salander is wonderful character. She's such a contradiction of appearance and emotion. There are parts of her which I find to be inspirational. She has this survival instinct, sheer determination and intelligence that I admire. I also love how she's content and accepting of who she is. How she stubbornly tilts her chin to society and lives by her own rules and morals.

Salander also makes me think about the positives of seeking justice for yourself and the problems that would cause if everyone was to behave that way.

Yes, you nailed it! I very much love her, its pretty interesting how Stieg built her up. Grown up version of Pippi, born on Walpurgis Night (Ironic, specially with the 2nd book's title) and where she lives "V. Kulla".

She just wants to live and survive, that's beauty.

I haven't read it but three different people have told me that I would identify with the main character, maybe I should read it!

Go for it, the translation from Swedish to English is a bit poor at times & the last two books were rushed a bit. You'll probably love her, she's very inspiring/easy to relate to.

He's soooo evil.......... Lady Fuchsia from the same series is one of my all time favorite characters from literature. At the end of the first little scene introducing her she stomps away saying "oh I hate people. I hate hate hate people!"

Hells yeah, another Eragon fan! :D That ending was so tragic and that just can't be the end, I must see more. No spoilers but it was just.. Ugh.

I just finished reading Eragon while waiting for the next R.A. Salvatore book that I had on hold to come into the library and it was amazing......I loved it. Why did you think the ending was so tragic? I mean they left open some loose ends for the next book......but I didn't think it was tragic. The worst thing I could think of happening in the book is something bad happening to Saphira ...her being captured or hurt or killed in the end......but her and Eragon are safe (at least for the time being) at the end of the book.

My favourite characters from the novel are Saphira and Solemnbum. :D

Without a doubt my favourite character is Sherlock Holmes.
Such a cleverly written character and I can relate to many of his dimensions. Wish my strengths were near his level of brilliance.

Alice from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass. I find her character, as well as the books, very intriguing , and I love the weird but interesting adventures that she goes on.
