What would you consider to be odd quirks for a character?
See, I'm trying to come up with a few quirks for my character right now. She's autistic, but I don't want to focus too much on her just having autism. Most people on the spectrum have really odd quirks that set them apart from the norm. The only one I can think of right now is that maybe she uses the wrong silverware for things. For example, eating mac and cheese with a spoon instead of a fork (I actually do this in real life lol). I can only think of ones related to food... and I need some that aren't related to that.
I've tried googling a list of odd quirks and such, but I can't seem to picture them being something my character would do though. A lot of them are also a little too weird for my taste. Either that, or I can't find the ability to write them in or explain them in a way that doesn't tell the reader what it is... if that makes any sense.
Basically, what I'm trying to ask is... well, what I asked before I started writing a lengthy post. XD What would you consider to be odd for quirks in the main character? I kind of want ones that aren't considered normal but out of the ordinary I guess. I decided to ask this here because I don't know if my other forums I attend would really understand the whole autism thing.
