What genre are you trying to get into?

Right now I am exploring trance music. I am currently listening to Paul Oakenfold and maybe some Paul Van Dyk later. Any other recommendations?

AOR/Pomp rock. Obscure 80's rock like April Wine, Skagarack and Giuffria.

I personaly like rap, and hard rock.

I'm trying to explore right now, Progressive House, Trance, and Instrumental Rock and Garage.

Hi, I've been interested in this genre for a long time. You could also try Astral Projection, DJ Tiesto, Jurgen Vries, Mauro Picotto and Antiloop.

headphase, A trance artist I recently discovered is called Plastikman.

Try that artist.

Yes. If you dig trance, maybe also check out some house music. Chicago deep-house in particular. It helps me relax. This internet radio http://stream.xtcradio.com:8069 always play solid mixes.

early 'infected mushroom' is a psy/prog trance must-listen.

The Infinity Project, Talamasca, Astral Projection have strong releases as well (although less experimental). Havent listened to the stuff in years myself (it grew cold and sterile), but good memories. Any mixes by Goa Gil would be worth checking out.

'eat static' are great old-school dance in a similar (more commercial) vein, but ive had trouble finding anything to download If you use all the P2P programs you might have better luck.

I've been into trance/house/techno music all my life pretty much and starting to like some garage stuff at the moment, i like most stuff though.

If your into any of that psytrance type stuff I highly recommend Synchro and Hux Flux - real electro-mechanical mindbending stuff that I heard for my first time at World Electronic Music Festival (WEMF) 2000 and I ended up scouting Napster and WinMX at the time for more of it.

Definitely have to add John '00' Fleming, particularly his Global Gathering 2002 set, Live at Dance Valley 5/2000, Marg EG's Brainstorm and Bonzai Lightning mix, and geez....that about does it for me and trance. Individual tracks: Bodyshock - Full Moon, Airwave - Alone in the Dark, Digital Blonde - Legato (DuMonde remix), Armin - Communication, Binary Finary - 2000 (JamX & DuMonde remix), OS2 & K90 - Into the Future, BK - Revolution (Alphazone remix), a few more oldschool tracks but not many I really remember the names on.

I'm trying to discover a genre, I don't know what it's called, and I don't know if it even exists. All I can do is listen to random types of music and go "Yes! That's closer/further than what I'm looking for!"
