Cello Concerto
^^ I enjoyed both of those pieces.
Also, a great look for the Blind Date thread. The Magic Flute – Queen of the Night aria (Mozart; Diana Damrau, The Royal Opera)Awesomeness.
String Quartet No. 8"I hate war. When I hear someone suffering, I suffer myself."~ Dmitri ShostakovichAccording to the score, it is dedicated "to the victims of fascism and the war"https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/String_ ... ostakovich)After first listen: maybe my new favorite quartet.
Giuseppe Tartini - “Devil's Trill Sonata”
Overall, I prefer Bernstein’s interpretation although I prefer some of the vocal soloists here.
I've made it through all of Mahler's symphonies. I think I might explore Shostakovich more next.
Transcendental Études
Bach - Goldberg Variations
Dvořák - Quartet No. 12 in F (American)
