Managing with Asperger Syndrome by Malcolm Johnson

Malcolm contacted me by PM to make me aware of his book. The title refers to people with AS working in management positions. It may not be of interest to teenagers and 20-somethings, but for those of us who have been in the workforce for years, it is a must-read. Very good stuff.

I've been very busy and I forgot to mention: My supervisor will be reading this, and the Assistant Department Head, and the Department Head, and the Associate Directors and the Director of the University Libraries System. We're buying a copy. It's very short. The first 10 pages provide a better explaination of AS (for NTs) than I've seen anywhere. It brought tears to my eyes, reading my own story again. If your employer wants to be more supportive and understanding, get them this book, even if they just read the first 10 pages.

Just finished Glasshouse by Stross. Still working on Strange in a Strange Land. I tried to read The Wasp Factory by Banks, but couldn't get into it.
