You'd need to get a poet then. Personally I think that I'm alright with prose but poetry, no, just terrible. Not that anybody suggested it would be me.

don't worry , wrong planet has lots of talents, i'm sure we'd be able to find someone...

I have a new webcomic site here... drapetomania.comicgenesis.com. The HTML isn't updating so fast as I like it so there might be some issues with the buttons not showing up or the links being broken.

i'll visit it as soon as i have the time (that might be this weekend)

There's a profile on MySpace called Artists for Autism. They are posting all kind of artwork in their pics section. We should send some in.

Here's one of my early psychedelic flowers. I've since moved on to cars and more cars.
I'd appreciate feedback, BTW ! !??

No, I wish I could though!

This car is basically completed. I touch up the paint and the "accessories" every year for festivals in the summer, but other than that, there's not a lot more that could go on it.

I would LOVE a van to paint! I actually have so many more ideas for other cars, I wish I'd win the lottery so I could have a fleet of my own art cars!

What a beautiful dream.

Jen

Who says it has to run under it's own power?? Buy one with a thrashed engine, but good body!! ! Then paint away, and sell it to someone who could afford to put an engine in it ! !!

Sometimes I like to work from a blank canvas with Photoshop and produce an image completely from scratch with no pre-existing photo to start with at all. Or with little resemblence from the photo I started with.
I was surprised at how little bit space it took up.

A couple more. The one above just sums up me. Always living in my own little world.
The one below is kind of an optical illusion where the rainbow appears to be a little bowed but is actually perfectly straight

ixochiyo_yohuallan, really liked particularly what you did with the more landscape based stuff. Like with the water over the mountains, the brush itself looks kinda like something that could be recontexted as aquatic in the right environment. Looks like you abstracted everything just from the colors and elements that already seemed to be there (anothe example is the fire, its like the sun bleeding out into the landscape or the smoke in the forest as if there were some things that almost looked like they could be mist and you elaborated) - its almost like how I sometimes come up with melodic ideas for tracks I'm working on just by hearing some of the more subtle undertones that certain reverbs are giving off at times.

Thank you! :) I'm glad you liked those - they needed a lot of work before they were complete (and the computer just wasn't collaborating either ;) ), and I'm not sure sometimes about how some of them came out. I did more gradient blending on them than brushing; I think the brushes were only the butterflies and that was it. The rest came from superimposing images one upon another, blending them together, cutting off little bits of the top image and applying them elsewhere, changing layer thickness and color, then repeating everything again and again. I guess it was mostly about intuitively sensing which colors matched best, and how they could be changed or tweaked so that they seemed to blend nicely into one another. Oh, and the ripples or waves in some of the manips actually come from water photos - all I had to put them on top of the other photos, and apply the gradient blend and/or change the layer thickness so that they looked transparent. :)

Aww man, NZ isn't there! Why is it that we're always left out on maps?
