I had about 600+ albums and 400+ CDs, but had to sell them to pay bills. Currently, about 15-20 CDs and a DVD of MP3s...dig it, dig it...;)

50 CDs, 150 or so tapes, 3 vinyl albums (Def Leppard's first 3 albums).
Never had an ipod or downloaded a song.
I acquire new music very slowly.
Given who the OP is I should add: I got a certain CD a long time (many years) ago, played it once, didn't quite get a handle on what it was about, then lost it. I just found it a couple months ago, played it, and said "Holy s**t!" I was amazed I had slept on it for so long. I have since been playing it a lot at high volume and with air guitar thrown in. It's called "Cowboys From Hell" by Pantera.

I have about 1/4 million audio tracks on the computer. Maybe 40 or 50 high definition movies.

Physical collection? Pssh... maybe 60 or 70 CDs, had about a dozen Blu-ray discs and they got stolen while moving.

"Holy sh**!" is what's going through my mind now.

I lost my original copy of Cowboys From Hell, too. But I never found it. Even after I moved out of my parents and the room was emptied. Did buy another one, though.

Speaking of rare CDs as PathoftheImmortals did (as well as Pantera), I recently ended up also buying a copy of Far Beyond Driven's original pressing, with the original/banned artwork, off of Ebay. I had the album in the current artwork, but I still had to have that too, despite it being opened (the bonus track was definitely a plus, as it was an Aussie import).

My physical collection is so tiny....
Children Of Bodom - Are You Dead Yet?, Hate Crew Deathroll, Stockholm Knockout, Follow the Reaper, Stockholm Knockout DVD
Nightwish - Dark Passion Play (oh soooo embarrassing), End of an Era DVD
Sonata Arctica - Unia, For the Sake of Revenge
Amon Amarth - With Oden on Our Side
Lacuna Coil - Karmacode (oh sooooo embarrasing)
Finntroll- Nattfodd (my netbook is umlaut impaired)
Ensiferum - Iron
Wintersun - Wintersun
Eluveitie - Slania
Samael - Aeonics
Behemoth - Evangelion
Turisas - The Varangian Way (I think that's the one...), A Finnish Summer w/Turisas DVD
Brother Firetribe - Heart Full of Fire

And I have DVDs by Moonspell and Dark Tranquillity, too. I'm probably missing alot, since I moved and haven't seen my CD cases in a million years..... most of the CDs are in the car though.

Last I counted (a couple years ago mind you) I had 1,892 cds (in alphabetical order). I've since added quite a bit to that list but probably not enough to break the 2,000 mark. Sorry, no pics. I'd say about 96% of those are all Metal but a few are just things like Red House Painters, Jeff Buckley, some classical, electronic/glitch/EBM.....ya know.

i lost track of the exact thousands of flat friends [LPs, 45s, 78s] i have crammed into a little spare bedroom, in addition to several thousand CDs, open reels and cassettes, and several hundred thousand MP3 files.
