OH YEAH!! F***! !! That stuff is the sh**! Thanks alot!

Burzum's recommendation was also really good except for the vocals, I just can't seem to get into the typical BM vox, I wish I could, but I have the same problem with Death Metal vocals aswell, the music itself is really evil, really good! I guess these are the downsides of being into electronic music too long.

Ah, a man of superior taste :)

Check out Tryptikon's album:
http://itunes.apple.com/nl/album/eparis ... d360119233

The band arose from the ashes of Celtic Frost, and CF's LAST album was identical in style to Triptykon, so check it out as well:

Hey guys, I'm new here and I've been diagnosed with asperger at the age of 5 (I'm 24 now). I'm wondering if this is a typical aspie-trait? I've been obsessed with heavy and intense music since I was a young child, by the time I got my first computer and started playing video games like doom and fury³ for example, the atmosphere of it was dark and futuristic, typical gaming stuff. I'm wondering if there are other people over here that recognize themselves in what I'm writing down here. The hard part of it is that I feel completely lonely because of it, literally no-one I know has a similar taste as me and most people consider me as a hard drug-user because of my hard as nails music taste. I basically like stuff done by Katharsys, Current Value, Razor Edge, Broken Note, Chasing Shadows, Kindzadza, Meshuggah, Cyanotic, Fear Factory and Sepultura for example, who fall under the dark psytrance/drum&bass/dubstep/metal/gabber/industrial-umbrella. If you share similar tastes or just really like my post, please contact me, I'm basically here to find friends. Youtube links are also welcomed in this thread.

Truthfully I don't think so. I've notice about the same amount of people who like that stuff verses hate it verses have indifference as I have anywhere else. Now, if you said you were a really big fan of j-pop, dreampop, or progressive ballad metal I'd say yes - that does seem at least to have a heavier aspie weighting; not much else though.

Well just google "Current Value - The Indivisible Force" or "Current Value - Faith", that's hard to me. The reason we are colliding here is because "hard" is a broad definition with multiple ways to interpret.

I tend to think of Current Value's 2005+ stuff as the Cannibal Corpse of dnb, I don't think you'll get much heavier than that but a few names that aren't TOO far softer:

Limewax
Procket
Technical Itch
Gein
Evol Intent
Donny
Audio

Raiden has his moments as well albeit I think you'd be looking for his stuff closer to 2006.

Probably a few more I could think of if I gave it time, only trouble is while I like dark dnb a LOT I'm still more into the deep/eerie/etherial side (think Sabre, Consequence, Stray, Genotype, etc.) than the Headbangers Ball ressurection of the mid 2000's.

I checked out all of these names in the past except for Proket and Donny, yeah they're really amazing s**t (especially Tech Itch, Limewax and Audio), but nowhere as tight as Current Value (before he went on the minimal-dnb bandwagon) used to be. Personally I didn't care much for DnB made before 2003, the clockwork lp was the only thing I liked from that era back then I think.

There was a thick pocket of crap I'd agree between 2001 and 2003, though I don't think anything will ever quite compare with the dark rolling techstep of 1997/98. I don't know if you've ever heard it but I could send you some highlights one of these times.

As for some gems that fall outside the A-list I gave:

Filthbath & Unicorn MF Remix are one of my all-time favorites, thank you for posting these! One early 00 track I like is Dom's remix of "extraterrestrial" or whatever it's called, used to be released on Genotype.

Now that you remind me of it, I used to dig alot of Calyx's older tracks, like See The Light, which is a smasher, even today.

Yeah that is exactly the kind of music I like.....and since when does one have to use hard drugs to listen to that kind of music? I swear the things people base their assumptions on. It sucks you don't know anyone who enjoys that sort of music, what do they listen to?
