Most of my favorite Songs have either just bass or Bass/Drum intros. I listen to lots of metal and hard rock.

1)Della Brown-Queensryche (Pure Spector bass tone)
2)Would-Alice in Chains (Once again, Pure Spector grit and growl!)
3)The Down Town- Days Of The New (Travis Meeks) (Another great Spector Euro 4LX tone)
4)Lounge Act-Nirvana (That Gibson Ripper sounds Mean with that 400T Ampeg head and the 2x15 Cab!)
5)Om-State of Non Return (Keyboard Bass intro w/Middle eastern scales)
6)Hey man nice Shot-Filter (sound WAY too similar to "Keep Away" by Godsmack)

those are just a few. I love certain bass sounds and seek out bands based on influences and gear.
