C and B sound great to me. Of course my book is science fiction so he crashes on a partially terraformed planet and is rescued by aliens. but its where i got from there. Perhaps 2 books about his journey home?

Certainly. I tried to leave a lot of wiggle room for the world you set up. I suppose if he is rescued by aliens the next step would be to find out about the aliens and what goals they have. Were they in the middle of some other mission? Do they have ulterior motives? Will they be cooperative about taking him back home, or do they have other plans for their new captive?

MY idea was to make them understanding but still an issue. Like they would take him home but .... , also I thought it would be cool if he could learn some about the rest of the universe.
The other option was make them not want to take him back for another reason such as exposing themselves. So they are not like bad guys but still will not co-operate. Or event he idea of him integrating into their culture and deciding not to go home.
But i really like the idea of him going on the voyage that this specific crew is on and learning about the universe and then end it with him wanting to tell the world but deciding not to. So he is saved but tells a boring story and keeps the real tale to himself. Until i want to write a sequel or maybe make him have other adventures.
