I don't make ambient or drone music, but the music I make (Hip Hop / Beats) has often been described as repetitive, and lacking in variance. It's pretty par for the course with Hip Hop caused it's a loop based medium for the most part, so I don't understand the overly negative reactions I often got in regards to the repetition, especially from Hip Hop fans and other people who do the same thing. It somehow isn't apparent to people that the music they listen to is just as repetitive (sometimes more so) there is just vocals that mask that very true fact.
Would think that people on the spectrum would like more repetitive forms of music and seek to make it if they are so inclined.
