This song lyrically may as well be the story of my life, but the tone of the song is far too depressing to really capture it because I'm for sure OK with where I stand.
Envisioning the song being covered by Soundgarden is probably more accurate.
In fact I'd never considered the concept until now, but I'd do depraved things for Modest Mouse's entire discography as covered by Soundgarden
