My all-time favourite metal band is probably Napalm Death though my current favourite is Emperor.

i listen to a lot of metal. i guess because it has the cathartic effect of calming me down.

i guess i listen to a lot of "doom" or "sludge" metal.

Anyone dig Old Man Gloom? Pretty much a supergroup. Singer of Isis, bassist from Converge on guitar, bassist from Cave In, Jay Randall from Agoraphobic Nosebleed. Kinda doomy, very gloomy n brutal.

I see a lot of sludge/doom fans here and that's awesome.

sludge/doom is the best form of metal imho. that slow heaviness just makes it more more intense.

Guess APC would be my favourite metal band if I really must pick one. Mer de Noms was an incredibly strong album and contains two of my all-time favourite songs: The Hollow and Brena.

If AAE is metal then I am the Pope. All About Eve is a quality band though, Julianne Megan has an amazing voice. But it is definitely NOT metal.
