I am a musician. I play electric guitar, keyboard, bass, sing and can play a little drums but much better at congos than acoustic drums and do some drum programming, recording etc.

I've been in other bands. It never worked out. Every band I went into, there was one person who wanted me to leave immediately. It was mostly because I was a girl playing metal guitar. Also my mannerisms didn't help and I am not very thrashy and animated. One person kicked me out for not showing enthusiasm even though I learned all the songs and showed up to practice. I don't have resentment for that though because I didn't really bother to tell anyone at that time about my difficulties because I was still thinking that I would just grow out of it. Nope. Still hasn't happened.

If I were to join another band it would be with musicians who like electronic music and wouldn't mind having a robo theme.

I've made drawings, poor writing, and handcrafts (cross stitch, jewerly, plushies, . . .)

About my drawings, people who see them say things like "Wow, your drawings are awesome!", "You have talent, you should make a comic". Maybe that people think I'm amazing because I can draw better than them, but that's not enough. I know I have a long way to go before thinking about beggining with a manga or comic.

My parents make me choose an engineery career instead of studying graphic design or somethingrelated with arts, so I left my drawing practices for a long time because college is demanding. But now I'm drawing again.

I proposed a challenge to myself: to draw a sketch or just a little doodle everyday. And that's working, my drawing skills are improving :) , I hope I can upload some of my daily drawings this weekend.

If you haven't seen my gallery, here is again:

Should take some pictures of our work and post it here. Perhaps we could be some inspiration to each other?

Great idea!! I'd love to see what people here have created! I posted some of my stuff in the 'Display your artwork' thread then took it down because it's more crafts than art really and I was a bit embarassed. If I post some of my stuff will other people too? (please!) :)

Oh no, this is one thread I don't want to kill, lol.

Glad you like my stuff. :D I use Vitrail glass paints, I like the transparency. I've used card-making peel-offs as outliners, but I'm experimenting with doing my own leading outlines, but not quite got the hang of it yet. It's quite difficult to make it even and smooth-looking.

I would love to see some more creations posted here :D

Yay! Glad you posted some of your stuff. I hear you about the embarrassment factor, I am conscious of my work not being anything more than craft-like and certainly not award worthy, but I love doing it!

I like the peacock too!

As for killing the thread, perhaps we'll do it together, but we will have fun doing it?

Lovely work, Starr ! !! I always like stained or painted glass. Yours are quite beautiful.

Well, you asked for it ! !!
Proof positive that I can carry any idea toooo far.
My thought was 'how would old Van Gogh paint autumn trees?'
This is the result. After several pints.

Thank you, makelifehappen. My therapist asked for a copy of that one, she liked it so much. Now then, let's keep the circle moving ...

"I'll show you mine, and so on ...."
