Humour? No I don' see how anything he does is funny. MM doesn't make me laugh, never has. He does the cult of personality thing very well, I must say. His legions of adoring followers are proof of that. And every one of them is a "rebel" in exactly the same way way for exactly the same reasons. And they make a lot of noise about noncomformist they are, which is a joke. Ol' Marylin is laughing all the way the bank.

I like some of his music. Not a total fan, but he is pretty good.
My friend has a book he wrote. It's way too obscure even for me.

I like his version of "This is Halloween"

Are you ever going to shut up? You don't like him, we got that the first time you drivelled on about him. You can't change anything, and there's no point complaining about what you can't change.

Manson is going to be around for a long time, and he is going to make more money. No one single person, Christian fundamentalist or no, can change that. We live in a world of free speech, and that means that you have to put up and shut up with things you don't agree with. If I had my way, I would've dissolved the church and force people to forge indevidual beliefs, no follow the rest of the sheep, but that won't happen, and I accept that.

I practice beliefs that the church called satanic and witchcraft, so why don't you turn your hatred onto me, instead of some somewhat overrated rock star?

Trust me, I myself am probably far more evil than Mr Manson.

Hah! says the guy who flames everyone just so you can get a feeling of superiority by telling everyone how wrong they are. I'd love to meet you in person, and see what a sniveling whelp you really are.

I like Manson's music, and I still listen to it when it comes up. Back in high school, it was the soundtrack to my anger and alienation. I used to listen to it a lot and it would cathartically help calm me down and while giving voice to to all those feelings of disgust at popular culture and the dark, often violent fantasies I kept buried deep inside my mind and only wrote down when they morphed into stories.

A jump? No, it's a step.

Well- its a fair question. Cause or effect?
Does listening to MM cause listerners to be suicidal, or does being suicidal draw you to listening to MM?

Probably a little of both.

I agree! It would be nice if MM would either stop being a freak or commit suicide!

I might have appreciated Marilyn Manson more if he had identified with the metal scene. What ticked me off is how he and his fans tried to latch on to the gothic rock scene. Priests wear black but that doesn't make them gothic.

As metal music, he's OK I suppose.. kind of pop-metal. I guess like a modern version of Alice Cooper.

I think his music is technically classified as industrial rock or industrial metal.

His music is good, but the guy himself is a freak. Even as a fan, I'll admit he's weird.
