I like styles of music that are native to countries other than the USA/UK.

I really got into listening to bands from Israel over the summer. Hadag Nachash and Tipex along with Heyedium were my triad of music pleasure over the hot months...they're a lot of fun :D

I got into listening to Electric Eel Shock which is a punk band from Japan, they're really cool however I can't say much about em' I just got into listening to them, but they're fun too.

The band I realllly dig is CSS from uhh I believe it's Brazil, they made that one song that was on all the Ipod commercials "Music is my Hot Sex" they're really funny, always taking shots at the wankiness of the art community and...(SIGH) Paris Hilton.

Mogwai and Errors are really cool too, really chill but heavy electronic/grunge music...sweet!

I'm a big fan of Yoko Kanno. Aside from that I don't consciously look for foreign music.

the vast majority of what i listen to is foreign.

as a norwegian, who has had it *up to here* in furious death metal long since my teens, the little norwegian i got on my playlist is old folk stuff and some later electronic stuff.

I totally love J-rock/pop. If anyone's interested go to YouTube and type 'Shiina Ringo' or 'Tokyo Jihen'. Great tunes!
