Interesting take on patriotism. Most people would consider the bands named unpatriotic, especially jingoists who side with a flag rather than using their brains to sort out a country's noble works from its mistakes and shameful chapters of history.
Just to be clear, I like most of the bands silverskater named, but I would not call them patriotic.
The patriotic songs about the USA that I was taught as a child look rather appalling to me as an adult, when viewed through the Native American lens. I like living in the USA but we have our share of f**ked-up history, not all of it in just the last eight years either.
Jingoistic patriotism makes me sick, so patriotic songs (by the standard definition) turn me off.

Green Day wouldn't happen too count as patriotic music, would it? :lol:

Devotion to my country is not going to intrude on my hobbies and interests.
