Without Sanctuary: Lynching Photography in America
James Allen
Hilton Als
Congressman John Lewis
Leon F. Litwack
Twin Palms Publishers: 2000

From the Foreward by Congressman John Lewis:
“Many people today, despite the evidence, will not believe—don’t want to believe—that such atrocities happened in America not so very long ago. These photographs bear witness to the hangings, burnings, castrations, and torture of an American holocaust. Despite all I witnessed during the height of the civil rights movement, and all I experienced of bigotry and hate during my lifetime, these photographs shocked me.” (Italics mine)

I love that book! One of my favorites.

Right now I'm re-reading Shakespeare plays.

Demolition Angel by Robert Crais. It's pretty good, which is cool.

I've finished reading "Blood canticle" by Anne Rice and I agree with that person on one forum for this author's fans who said this book looks as if the author herself wrote a fanfic based on her own works.

Btw, in my case there's no too much sense to ask what I am just reading because I can read really very quickly - I can read even 5 books daily at a push.

I'm currently reading "A hundred years of Solitude" (100 años de Soledad) by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

I think Remedios, The Beautiful has AS traits.
