Brash young Nyla has always craved the thrills and heroic status offered by the Gbeto, a society of dinosaur huntresses "married" to King Wekesa of Ufalme, but once she recklessly gets another huntress killed on a hunt, she is expelled. Only by finding the legendary gateway to the Underworld and bringing her dead companion back can Nyla win her return to the Gbeto. As she traverses the Ufalmean savannas and jungles, she will have to confront not only dinosaurs and other hostile creatures, but a handsome young slave whose love may threaten her return to the Gbeto...
