A native of Asgard in Noah's far north, the Japhethic pirate leader Gareth craves adventure, thrills, and exotic treasures. He has maintained a love affair with the Badarian chieftess Kasaqa ever since they were adolescents, but he has never admitted his piracy to his lover. The time will come when he is forced to...

Not my art, but something I paid a DA friend of mine to draw. It's my OCs Gareth and Kasaqa making out.

Akhom is a Chief of the Medjay, an order of elite warriors who function as policemen and guards in ancient Egypt. Mysteriously abandoned as a baby, he was found and raised into a warrior by the previous Medjay Chief Ranofer, who passed on both his title and his sternly disciplinarian outlook to his foster son. Lithe and agile, Akhom is skilled at archery and evasion and is a competent Chief, but he has a negative reputation among his subordinates for his pitiless and strict leadership.

I'll start working on this guy's story when I finish the Kasaqa one.

Young Menashe hails from the same Shemitic tribe as Yaghoub and is his subordinate in the tribal priestly caste, but the similarities end there. Menashe is vehemently opposed to Yaghoub and his patronization of the evil divinity Zarathya, which gets him cast out. Now he will use his healing powers to aid Gareth and Kasaqa's quest to stop Yaghoub from taking over the world of Noah...

That's awesome!
I prefer the second one! such beauty! such aesthetic!
Why do I feel so extremely attracted to artists? I'm in love with your hands! they create something beautiful... why does it always touch me so deeply?

If you're wondering why I gave St. Nick a raven and an eyepatch, some scholars argue that modern traditions about Santa Claus, particularly the idea of a supernatural old man who goes around giving gifts to children in exchange for food, originates from Germanic tribal traditions about the god Wodan (Odin to the Norse). Since other legends about Wodan say that he tore out one of his eyes to gain wisdom and he had pet ravens, I wanted Santa to have a raven and an eye-patch to allude to his Germanic religious origin.

Merry Christmas!

I know I draw a lot of African people, especially ancient Egyptians, but while I find Africa exotically alluring, I actually do take pride in my own Germanic (specifically Anglo-Saxon) heritage. I'm especially fascinated by "pagan" Germanic cultures before the imposition of the Semitic Christian religion onto them. We think of Germanic people as uncultured barbarians, but they actually had a rich and complex mythology and belief system, beautiful artwork, quasi-democratic governing assemblies called things, and (in the case of the Norse) advanced shipbuilding and navigation. Of course, they were also famously valiant warriors who believed that bravely dying in battle was rewarded with feasting in Valhalla. This drawing is meant to juxtapose the two cultures I love so much, Germanic and African.
