I thought that some of this song's lyrics could pertain to someone with Aspergers although at the time I didn't realize it. I knew I was different but I didn't know why

In the 70s people thought hitchhiking was a good idea and this was reflected in popular songs

Both of these bands were made up of high school kids at the time of recording but went on to launch entire genres filled with imitators.
