I just wanted to mention - I went out to a club called Wish down in the warehouse district last night and saw Bailey from Metalheadz. $15 but I wasn't the least bit dissapointed. Bailey tore it up like I knew he would, Illy MC's mic was tuned just right so he didn't overpower the music, and the only thing thats kind of a shame is that the guy who threw the event emailed me back on something and mentioned he took a little bit of a financial hit in terms of ticket sales :/.

I have yet to transfer all my music from shi* computer to new one, so I'm listening to a Winamp Radio Station. It's jungletrain.net, some random "Jungle Drum And Bass" station.

I just got another oldskool cd in the mail. Its called Torque and its a compilation of No U Turn tracks from guys like Trace, Nico, Ed Rush, Fierce; all some of th the dark drum & bass leaders from back in 1997. The sounds definitely evolved a great deal since then but the stuff's dark, moody, and has that 1997 cycling sickbass that I'm all about. So right now I'm listening to:

Trace + Nico - Amtrak
Ed Rush + Nico - Technology
Trace + Ed Rush + Nico - Mad Different Methods
Ed Rush + Nico - Proton
Trace + Ed Rush + Nico - Droid
Ed Rush + Nico - Neutron
Trace + Nico - Damm Son
Fierce + Nico - Crystal
Ed Rush + Nico - Mothership
Ed Rush + Nico - Torque
Ed Rush + Nico - Comatone
Nico - Lo
Trace + Nico - Squadron
Ed Rush + Nico - Technology (Boymerang Remix)

the only thing this is lacking is Trace + Nico - Cells (I used to love that track and it's a real shame it didn't get added in on this one)

Yeah, it's gotta be him and/or Optical's older stuff from before 99', I think they both fell apart after that.

BTW, I was on one of the forums, Bailey has a two part set he did on 1Xtra with of a whole bunch of unreleased and previously unheard Virus tracks from the likes of Ed Rush, Optical, Fierce, and whoever else - all ranging from the 1997 sound up through 2001 or 2002. Good stuff and even the more recent sounding stuff wasn't too bad or commershy.
