I love this song and video.
I eventually discovered the source material. I met somebody whose father composed some of the music for the original Chinese Cultural Revolution production titled: "The Red Detachment of Women".

i hated that video i loved that video it is the essence of who i was at 10 a different landscape for me, but doing the same important business same stupid crooked smile at the window, same oil lamp, but blue not green a time i try not to remember because i might smile at that memory

i don't laugh at most things that are supposed to be funny. but i have spent two days now laughing at most of these sketches. i rediscovered 'Portlandia', they are very good at showing some of life's BS. i think these will be the last i Need to post. .... maybe.... (:
