To stay with rock for a minute:

Alice In Chains - Down In A Hole
Pop Will Eat Itself - Babylon
Jane's Addiction - Then She Did
Tool - Third Eye (the whole of Aenima though really)
Faith No More - Ashes to Ashes/Last Cup of Sorrow/King For A Day
Skinny Puppy - Love In Vein/Killing Game/Mirrorsaw
Muse - Blackout
Suicidal Tendencies - How Will I Laugh Tomorrow
Anthrax - In My World
Cake - Going The Distance
311 - Flowing

really time-eclectic I know.

If you want Depressing, look no further than Sopor Aeternus & the Ensemble of Shadows.

"Tom Traubert's Blues, or Four Sheets to the Wind in Copenhagen" by Tom Waits.

If you've never heard it, look it up, it's a compilation of some of the saddest imagery ever put into one song.

So far I don't find the videos all that sad ...

Check out the Great Gig in The Sky by Pink Floyd on YouTube. No words, just voice and keyboards, and it's hauntingly sad ...

Another one.

Smashing Pumpkins - To Forgive

This one it's mainly the lyrics that are really depressing.
