Oh, man, there are so many. I Can't Fight This Feeling by REO Speedwagon, Every Rose Has Its Thorn by Poison, Total Eclipse Of The Heart by Bonnie Tyler, basically any over-the-top ballad from the 80's.

Considered cheesy by many, but I dare (sorry) you to tell me you don't feel like you can conquer the world after listening to to this tune.

Bumble Bee by Toybox (funny, those types of songs are generally the ones I hate!), and Tsuman-ne, a Vocaloid song on Nicovideo written by Owata-P. It's a song about a fanmade Vocaloid named Akita Neru, and she's a personification of internet trolls and flamers. Anyway, she's singing about how she hates EVERY Vocaloid and her reasons why, and then, she sings about how she loves them. It's semi-cheesy, but hilarious.

Well, crud, it looks like a huge number of songs on my iPod are cheesy. It's tough to define. I know I have a list of power ballads that my husband (heavy metal fan from way back) considers laughable. Here's one that is just so danged cool, and totally hypnotic when you see the old costume concert video clips:

And I like Mika, who is a pretty cheesy guy:

I let my kid hear that because they think he's talking about candy. But these I can let the kids hear and watch without worry... and try to act like I don't think they're fully awesome myself (but I do):

How long would it take him to train them that well, by the way?

And this one:

Cutest cartoon teenager ever, by the way, until he turns sideways.

Love Letters in the Sand - Pat Boone
Centerfold - J. Geils Band
You Sexy Thing - Hot Chocolate
Round and Round - Perry Como
Never Ever - All Saints
Magnet & Steel - Walter Egan
The Promise - When in Rome

I've got a thing for disney songs myself at the moment, I've been playing the same few for ages.
"He lives in you" off Lion King 2
Any of the songs sung my Phil Collins in the Tarzan soundtrack, except for "son of man" which isn't that good.
"Hellfire" off Hunch back of notre dame, I have never seen the film but I am addicted to that song.
Just those few songs I can't stop listening to.

Whole Wide World-A'me Lorain. Let's just say when WE first heard it all those years ago, we all were like WTF is this? Then, it went obscure for decades until 1990, then it became released in the USA.

All at once-Bonnie Raitt. Again, when it was released in 1891 we were all alike WTF man?

Ah, yes... my favorite band. One of the reasons I could have listed so many!

Both of you should log into www.fcac.org/webr Sundays from 5 to 6pm EST to hear the "Lighterside Show". a Dr. Demento-type showcase of comedy-on-records, and demented music- hosted by moi .
