Favorite villains in books

I truly detest Dolores Umbridge from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and Harold Skimpole from Bleak House. They're two fictional characters I've actually wanted to murder with my own two hands. Skimpole isn't actually a villain per se, but he is completely reprehensible and with absolutely no redeeming features (at least Tulkinghorn has an intellect you can admire, and Grandfather Smallweed has a grotesquely comic value)[/i].
On the subject of Dolores Umbridge I can for once wholly and unabashedly agree with QM on something! My first read through of Order of the Phoenix was excruciating because of her, though it later became my favorite of the series. Though she was never truly "resolved" to my satisfaction in the books, I like to think the dementors got her in book 7.
